TECH-TOUR - Technology and tourism: augmented reality for the promotion of the Roman and Byzantine itineraries

The project is aimed at promoting a Roman and a Byzantine cultural itineraries in Europe, with the help of new IT technology. A dedicated website  (www.techcooltour.com) was developed to display nine information sheets on the main highlights of Aquileia. A board was positioned on the site of Fondo Cossar to describe the House of Titus Macer with the help of augmented reality. Aquileia belongs to the Roman itinerary, which also includes Concordia Sagittaria, Altino, Montegrotto Terme, Ariano nel Polesine, Noventa di Piave (Italy), the Brijuni Islands, Rijeka, Fazana, Medulin, Nezakcij, Porec and Pula (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Belgrade, Sremska Mitrovica, Niš, Bela Palanka and Viminacium (Serbia).
